Daniel Tepper
Tenor
Daniel Tepper began taking piano and organ lessons at the age of six and received vocal training with the Aurelius Boys’ Choir in Calw. He was a multiple national prize winner at “Jugend musiziert” and has performed as a soloist on the stages of renowned opera houses both in Germany and abroad. He has won several prizes at various organ competitions, began studying at the Tübingen University of Church Music in 2011, and completed his degree in church music with the A-Examen in 2015. Numerous master classes, including those with Martin Schmeding, David Timm, Markus Uhl, Michael Gees, Martin Sander, Helmut Rilling, Wolfgang Schäfer, Frieder Bernius, and Morten Schuld-Jensen, helped broaden his stylistic and interpretive horizons. Following a church music internship with KMD Prof. Jörg-Hannes Hahn in Bad Cannstatt, he was appointed district cantor at the Romanesque St. Martin’s Church in Sindelfingen in October 2016. Daniel Tepper is a permanent member of several professional vocal ensembles and is active as a composer and arranger of works for organ, brass, and other ensembles. In addition to a busy concert schedule and regular concert tours abroad, he has served as a lecturer in ensemble conducting and accompaniment at the annual CHORATELIER SIENA since 2017, and as a bell expert for the Evangelical Regional Church of Württemberg since 2022.
He has been a member of SCHOLA HEIDELBERG since 2023.
