The KlangForum Heidelberg presents its usual exciting program of significant choral works, rich in contrasts and connections: Domenico Scarlatti follows Mary’s suffering at the foot of the cross with impulsive, deeply sensual music. Traditional forms, infused with a new, Romantic spirit, are found in the three motets by Johannes Brahms. In the world premiere of Salvatore Sciarrino’s "Due Cori," based on Aeschylus’s tragedy "Agamemnon," Cassandra reflects on the transience of human fate. "With Closed Mouths," the singers bid farewell to the great Wolfgang Rihm. Concert without intermission
