"Alliances, misalliances, and false friends: Liaisons dangereuses" is the theme of this year’s steirischer herbst. It explores the nature of dangerous relational mix, of connections that—in all their fragility – are passionate, explosive, yet always powerful. The musikprotokoll, now in its 45th year– and within which SCHOLA HEIDELBERG will perform world premieres – is also a history of liaisons dangereuses. It loves risky relationships, explores uncharted acoustic territories, and orchestrates daring first encounters.
