With its vocal and instrumental ensembles, KlangForum Heidelberg is not only a regular guest at international festivals and concert venues, but also an integral part of the contemporary music scene in the Rhine-Neckar metropolitan region. It is surprising that the ensembles are only now making their debut appearance at the Gesellschaft für Neue Musik in Mannheim.

The program features excerpts from "scriptura antiqua" and "Engelstudien" by José María Sanchez-Verdú, as well as compositions by Salvatore Sciarrino and movements from “Schweigen” by Georg Friedrich Haas. The Florian-Waldeck-Saal at the Reiß-Engelhorn-Museen in Mannheim will also host two world premieres: "Hermetika VII" (commissioned by KlangForum Heidelberg) by Bernhard Lang and, from the series "In Memory of Bernd Alois Zimmermann," the composition "Lieber Jean" for two trombones and two voices by Niklas Seidl.

In cooperation with the SWR Experimental Studio.

Tickets for the event are available by calling 0621-1680150 and at the box office.
