Confessions of the Flesh

Die Geständnisse des Fleisches

The terms we use to refer to gender have become fluid, and Foucault’s philosophy is at the center of this discourse. Even his late work, Confessions of the Flesh, delves far into the past, observes closely, and demonstrates that the concept of sexuality has, in fact, always been fluid. Music has accompanied humanity since the beginning and has always been linked to the body and desire. Shouldn’t we then encounter similar surprises in the history of music as Foucault did?
